Kwitcherbitchin
I must admit that I've never watched Oprah Winfrey. Not even once. But I do admire her as a business person, a philanthropist and an all around decent human being. She carries herself well in this interview.
However...
I want to take her to task for something she said. If I may be so bold as to paraphrase, "her accountants need to bring tequila when she has to sign her checks to the IRS."
Pardon me, Ms Winfrey, but what did you expect when you supported a candidate who openly campaigned on the promise to, "spread the wealth around?" Do you remember that whole, "Joe the plumber", kerfuffle? That's what wealth redistribution is--you take wealth from people who have it and give it to people who don't have it.
It's funny how people feel satisfaction when they choose to give to a worthy cause but bristle when the government seizes their property for the same purpose. Why do you suppose that is? It seems to me that that would have been an outstanding question for the interviewer to ask Ms. Winfrey.
